Music, dance, film, and theater are vital components of society and its development, both as professional art forms and as opportunities for individual expression. Audiences and residents of all ages should be offered high quality and exciting encounters between and within our various art forms at different venues.

Performing Arts Sörmland is characterized by a strong commitment to producing and disseminating performing arts to diverse target groups. The operations of Performing Arts Sörmland are primarily funded by Region Sörmland and the State through the Swedish Arts Council. We continuously work to develop our methods and offerings in close collaboration with the municipalities in the region to remain relevant and provide new perspectives on contemporary issues and history. Performing Arts Sörmland is part of culture & education within Region Sörmland.

Your Responsibilities

You will have a varied operational and strategic role. The focus is on planning and producing value-adding content in our various communication channels, as well as supporting and coordinating the organization’s communication.

You will have multiple points of contact both internally and externally, reporting to the CEO of Performing Arts Sörmland and collaborating closely with the other communicator. Together with the CEO and your closest colleague, you will have overall responsibility for all brand communication. You will collaborate and communicate with our producers, developers, freelancers, and administrators. You will work independently on communication issues with quality responsibility within the framework of established plans for our various projects and productions.

To succeed and thrive in this role, you have relevant experience in the field of communication. You are an experienced writer and content producer, creating engaging content. You thrive best in a role where you have the opportunity for personal responsibility and can contribute new ideas. You are accustomed to thinking strategically and driving projects independently.

As a person, you have the ability to combine proactivity with sensitivity. You have an open and inclusive demeanor and enjoy sparking curiosity, seeing opportunities, and building trust. You have a sense of the overall picture when creating content with language, image, and design, preferably digitally, linked to graphic profiles. It is advantageous if you have experience in communication work related to accessibility, such as writing in plain language, polished, simple, and understandable for all, and have worked with accessibility related to content for social media and other communication channels.

• You produce and publish audience- and channel-adapted content; both text and image
• You produce and edit moving material
• You adapt messages to our various target groups and channels
• You plan and implement ongoing communication efforts
• You plan and implement specific communication efforts
• You write press releases and text materials within the various channels of Performing Arts Sörmland
• You edit texts related to the organization
• You produce graphic material according to the organization’s graphic profile.

Your Competence

You have:

• Education in communication
• Documented experience in content production
• Experience in driving your own projects
• Good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) as well as Outlook and Teams
• Documented knowledge of writing audience-adapted content for web and digital channels, including plain language/simple Swedish
• You are used to working with tight deadlines both internally and externally
• Good prioritization and planning skills
• Good analytical and strategic skills
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written
• Driver's license B.

It is advantageous if you also have:

• Experience in project work in groups
• Experience in working with moving material in Adobe Premiere Pro
• Experience in communication work related to accessibility
• Experience in crisis communication
• Experience in target group analysis
• Experience in working with children's rights
• Experience in transforming strategies into activities.

Employment Form

Permanent employment with start date by agreement. A probationary period may be applied.
